Pink Rosettes 6x6 Page

 100_2452

At a hostess’ request, I made this lovely 6x6 scrapbook page for a workshop.  I wanted to use the lovely Springtime Vintage Designer Series paper and the vintage looking Very Vanilla Rosettes, both found in the Occasions Mini catalog.  So where are the vanilla rosettes you ask?  I dyed them to this lovely shade of 100_2457Pink Pirouette by diluting a few drops of the re-inker with a few spritz of water.  I did the same with the Very Vanilla Taffeta ribbon.  I then scrunched the ribbon by pulling one thread in the middle of the ribbon.  Actually, it’s more like working the ribbon down the thread.  The rosettes were layered over the Little Leaves die cuts.  The flourish in the upper corner is found in Elements of Style, stamped in Baja Breeze.  All edges of the card stock and/or DSP have been distressed with the distressing tool in the Cutter Kit.  See how beautifully the Eyelet Border punch blends with the vintage look of the project?  I’m really loving this vintage look!  (You can’t tell right?)

Scrapbooking is something that I really should do more of.  I do love putting together 6x6 pages and I’m always pleased with the final outcome.  So why don’t I do more?  I really can’t answer that.  Perhaps it’s the thought of the mountain of photos I have yet to get into a scrapbook…hmmm!

I hope you’ve been inspired.  I’m dyeing to color some more rosettes ;)  I hope you give it a try too.

Hugs,

Leslee
