And the winner is.....

Congratulations to Rebecca H.

Rebecca played along in the Retiring Colors Game.  She had the most correct guesses with an amazing 5 out of 10.  There were a total of eleven colors retiring.  That's pretty good considering we had 40 to choose from.  You can see all the retiring products here.
Rebecca won a package of the retiring Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes.

These gorgeous cards and envelopes coordinate with the 2022-2024 In-Colors and several other colors too. I had two of these packages and had to keep one for myself!  This is what I did with my set...

These make an adorable assortment of cards for yourself or as gift sets for friends and family!  As of this writing, you can get a package for yourself at a really good, discounted price.  Stock up now, craft all summer, and have Christmas gifting done well before Christmas!

Stay inky,
Leslee

Sycamore Street Rosettes

100_5937        A hostess had requested that I demonstrate paper rosettes.  Of course, I was all to happy to oblige.  Since there are a couple of ways that we can create these lovely handmade embellishments, I decided to show both the Big Shot &  Designer Rosettes  Bigz XL Die and the Simply Scored Tool.

100_5935     The Kraft Box was given to the hostess as a thank you gift.  The rosette topper was made with the Big Shot and die.  You can’t get much more simple than that.  The downfall (if we can call it that) is that the rosette die is only one width between scored lines…1/2”.  Therefore, the rosette will be taller than you’d want to use on a card.  100_5934

For the card, I made the rosette with the Simply Scored Tool and scored my lines every 1/4”.  Thus, creating a rosette that doesn’t stand so tall.  Of course, you wouldn’t want to mail this lovely card in a regular post envelope.

I used the SAB Sycamore Street DSP and Sycamore Street Button & Ribbon package to create both rosettes.  It’s a breeze to put these together.  I used the Silicone Craft Sheet100_5931(item #127853) found on pg. 36 of the Spring 2013 Catalog and my handy hot glue gun.  Place a blob of hot glue center of the craft sheet and build your rosette right on top of that.  It pops right off when you’re done.  Super simple!!  A must have for all sorts of crafts!  Don’t forget a little punch of Silver Glimmer with a 7/8” Scallop Circle punch.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you’ve been inspired to make rosettes…Big Shot or Simply Scored :)  However, enjoy!!

Gift Set for Teacher

100_4837100_4847

100_4857     This is the gift set that I made for Adam’s teacher during Teacher Appreciation Week.  Her favorite color is blue so I thought that Marina Mist would make the grade :)  I used the classic Note Cards in Whisper White.  Purchasing these ready cut and scored cards cuts so much of the prep time out of the project and they come packaged with envelopes too.  Images and sentiments100_4864 are from several different stamp sets.  Current sets are Simply Soft (retiring hostess set), Pocket Silhouettes (retiring) and Elements of Style.  Each image was stamped 100_4853in Jet Black StazOn and colored in using a Blender Pen and Marina Mist and Pear Pizzazz ink refills.  I did two cards of each design so I kept the cards simple, not a lot of embellishments and, yet, tons of elegance.  I packaged them simply in a clear cello bag tied up with a Marina Mist Polka Dot Ribbon.100_4856

100_4851     She loved the set and I’m sure she will put them to good use.  It is always nice to know that all the hard work that you put into a project is appreciated.  Well, we wanted her to know just how much we appreciate her :)  Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you take a minute to let those around you know just how much you appreciate and love them.
