“Tea”rific!

100_4498

Always on the look out for cute little projects to make and share, I came across this on 100_4501Becky’s blog, Inking Idaho.  She calls it a Double Pocket Valentine.  I’ve heard them called Double Pocket Tea Bag Holder.  Whatever its name, it is “double pocketed” and a lovely little idea!  So, I figured out just how-to and made me a bunch.  I should have waited a couple of days…Becky’s got a good little tutorial posted up on her blog now.  I couldn’t wait and did one of my own.  I shared this little project with one of my clubs.  It is so easy to make using the Simply Scored Tool and you can mass produce them very quickly.  It is also a great way to use up the DSP you’ve been hoarding :)

Mine features the Everyday Enchantment DSP and coordinating Ribbon & Brads Bundle 100_4500from Sale-A-Bration (of course!).  I created my pocket to be 3” wide, starting with a 6” square piece of DSP.  I threw in a little note card that measures 2-1/2” square (another great way to use up scraps).  I, finally, inked up my Morning Cup stamp set and colored the image in with my Watercolor Pencils.  The second pocket holds an individual bag of tea or you could slip in a gift card (though it might stand a little tall).

100_4497     I used these as a thank you in club orders (the club that didn’t get to make their own).  So, they too can have one.  Great quick and easy project for little teacher gifts, get well goodies, church groups, etc.  It makes a nice stamp club project too!  :)  If you need directions, let me know.  I’d love to share it with you.

Thanks for stopping in today.  I hope you enjoy your day…have a cup of tea :)

Hugs,

Leslee
