Fall To Layout 136 – Paisley Petals

100_2980      I really wanted to use the new Paisley Petals DSP and the Four Frames set together at a recent workshop.  After all, we will only be able to get them through the end of April and won’t see them again until the release of the 2011 – 2012 Idea Book & Catalog in July.  Me time has been at a minimum as of late and the mojo just isn’t making an appearance on its own.  So, once again, I have used this week’s Fall To Layout #136.  It’s amazing how different the same layout can be with the use of different papers.  This is the first card I used this layout on, FTL 136 - Springtime Vintage.  I may have taken a few liberties on this as well.  But I really like how the card turned out…and that’s what counts.  I went with the natural look of the Linen Thread.  It lends nice interest and hides the seam between the DSP, Baja Breeze with the Scallop Trim Border edge and the Not Quite Navy card stock.  The butterflies (Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die) are in Early Espresso with chocolate colored Jewels Basic Rhinestones.  You can read about how I did that in my last post, FTL 136 – Springtime Vintage.  The frame is colored in with a Blender Pen and Old Olive, Peach Parfait and Cajun Craze classic inks.  The sentiment is from the Afterthoughts Hostess Level 1 set, stamped using an Early Espresso marker and the omitting technique.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you’ve been inspired to try a favorite layout with some different colors, papers and embellishments.  :)

Hugs,

Leslee

Sorry haven't popped by recently ... but (as you probably know) my dad had a heart attack 2 weeks ago ... it is school holidays ... my son turned 13 yesterday ... and my eldest daughter is in labour as I type! I am excited about my 1st grandchild ... but it is a long hard labour and I am a bit distracted.
    Hugs xxaxx
